Our high-powered laser cutting services leave precise edges and high-quality surface finishes on carbon steel up to 1″ thick, stainless steel up to 1/2″ thick, and aluminum up to 1/2″ thick.
We complete all of our laser cutting services in house, so we are easily able to accommodate both large and small orders in a timely fashion so your prototypes or end-use production work is completed with fast turnaround. Similar to our other sheet metal fabrication services, we provide proven techniques and flawless execution with each product we produce.
Laser cutting presents a cost-efficient way to fabricate metal panels, boxes, and casings for a numerous applications.
The chassis we fabricate are typically used to house electromechanical controls, from small handheld devices to large industrial testing equipment. All chassis are built to critical dimensions to ensure hole pattern alignment between different parts.
TMT builds custom brackets and miscellaneous laser cutting components. Our capabilities allow for fasteners and additional conveniences to be built-in to almost any manufactured part.
Our Laser Cutting Process
Laser cutting involves the process of cutting metals with a high powered CNC Machine. This machine produces a laser out of direct electrical energy that can pierce through metal and give you the correct cut needed. At Thieman Manufacturing Technologies, we specialize in cutting carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
With the guidance of CNC, the laser and workpiece are both controlled to provide precision cuts. This means precise control throughout the process to create accurate parts for post-end production.
Laser cutting services are ideal for quick production and better structural alignment throughout the process.
A standard finish is minimal, and is left with a raw-form metal.
A bead blasted finish create a smooth matte appearance on metals.
Parts and applications may have an anodized finish for a wide variety of custom colors, which may include clear, black, gold, or desired custom colors.
Powder coating is a painting process where powdered paint is sprayed on a part or application prior to heating. The result is a strong layer that is more resistant to wear and corrosion.
This process also allows for a wide selection of colors for the further customization of color.
Also known as Chem Film or Chemical Conversion Coating, this metal coating provides corrosion resistance and conductive properties. This coat may also be used as a base for painted or color finishes.
This dipping (immersion) process uses organic paint particles, where the paint based finish is able to stick on a metal surface with the help of electrical currents.
If you need a custom finish for your order that is not listed, we’ll develop a custom process for your order. Just be sure to include specifics about the desired finish upon requesting a quote.
Carbon Steel Up to 1″ thick
Stainless Steel up to 1/2″ thick
