Laser Cutting Services

Our high-powered laser cutting services leave precise edges and high-quality surface finishes on small to medium-sized metals. They can melt, burn, or vaporize any metal substrate including flat-sheet materials and structural and piping materials.

We complete all of our laser cutting services in house, so we are easily able to accommodate both large and small orders in a timely fashion so your prototypes or parts are completed with a quick turnaround.

Laser Cut Parts & Applications

Laser cutting presents a cost-efficient way to fabricate metal panels, boxes, and casings for a numerous applications.

The chassis we fabricate are typically used to house electromechanical controls, from small handheld devices to large industrial testing equipment. All chassis are built to critical dimensions to ensure hole pattern alignment between different parts.

TMT builds custom brackets and miscellaneous laser cutting components. Our capabilities allow for fasteners and additional conveniences to be built-in to almost any manufactured part.

Our Laser Cutting Process

Laser cutting involves the process of cutting thinner metals with a high powered CNC Machine that produces a laser out of direct electrical energy. It is commonly used on materials such as aluminum, copper, and steel. At Thieman Manufacturing Technologies, we specialize is cutting small to medium-sized metals, flat-sheet materials, along with structural and piping materials.

With the guidance of CNC, the laser and workpiece are both controlled to provide precision cuts, burns, melts, and vaporizations. This means precise control to create and mold accurate prototypes and post-end production.

Laser cutting services are ideal for quick production and better structural alignment throughout the process.

Custom Laser Cutting Finishes

A standard finish is minimal, and is left with a raw-form metal.

A bead blasted finish create a smooth matte appearance on metals.

Parts and applications may have an anodized finish for a wide variety of custom colors, which may include clear, black, gold, or desired custom colors.

  • Type II Anodized Finishing creates a finish that is resistant to corrosion.
  • Type III Anodized Finishing creates a thicker finish that is more wear resistant than its lesser option.

Powder coating is a painting process where powdered paint is sprayed on a part or application prior to heating. The result is a strong layer that is more resistant to wear and corrosion.

This process also allows for a wide selection of colors for the further  customization of color.

Also known as Chem Film or Chemical Conversion Coating, this metal coating provides corrosion resistance and conductive properties. This coat may also be used as a base for painted or color finishes.

If you need a custom finish for your order that is not listed, we’ll develop a custom process for your order. Just be sure to include specifics about the desired finish upon requesting a quote.
