Sheet Metal Forming Services
At TMT Fab, we offer a variety of sheet metal forming services to begin production on forming metal of all shapes and sizes. By using both conventional and leading-edge techniques, our experienced technicians are able to accurately build each part to the highest of quality and functionality.
Metal forming is the process of taking a raw metal piece and creating a 3D shape. This method does not remove any of the material from the metal. Instead, bending and forming are used until the desired shape is produced.
Some Of What We've Manufactured
Metal Formed Parts & Applications
Plasma cutting creates a cost-effective way to cut thicker metals, and develop them into final components for usable parts and structures.
The chassis we fabricate are typically used to house electromechanical controls, from small handheld devices to large industrial testing equipment. All chassis are built to critical dimensions to ensure hole pattern alignment between different parts.
TMT builds custom brackets and miscellaneous laser cutting components. Our capabilities allow for fasteners and additional conveniences to be built-in to almost any manufactured part.
Our Sheet Metal Forming Capabilities
Precision Bending – Our precision metal bending services are intended to bend sheet metal into various shapes such as a “V” or a “U” shape. At TMT Fab, our technicians use press-brake forming, swaging, rolling, and various other metal-bending solutions to deliver high-quality precision results.
Plate & Sheet Forming – This process aggressively bends metal sheets and plates between 90 tons and 175-250 tons. Our technician operated press brakes can make predetermined bends resulting in a variety of different shapes.
Plate & Sheet Rolling – TMT’s custom plate rolling and sheet rolling machines can accurately roll steel and aluminum to almost any custom dimension, thickness, or specification, with enough speed to meet even high-volume production orders.
Tube Bending – We offer many versatile tube bending and fabrication options to form various types of metal tubes or piping. Each option is capable to adapt to any of your needs.
Metal Finishes for Formed Parts
An as-milled option is viable for quick turnaround and parts that do not require visual appeal. Leaving the parts with an unfinished surface with visible marks from machine and potentially rough or sharp edges.
Also called “Bead Blasting,” this finish creates a smooth matte appearance on metals.
Parts and applications may have an anodized finish for a wide variety of custom colors, which may include clear, black, gold, or desired custom colors.
- – Type II Anodized Finishing creates a finish that is resistant to corrosion.
- – Type III Anodized Finishing creates a thicker finish that is more wear resistant than its lesser option.
Powder coating is a painting process where powdered paint is sprayed on a part or application prior to heating. The result is a strong layer that is more resistant to wear and corrosion.
This process also allows for a wide selection of colors for the further customization of color.
Also known as Chem Film or Chemical Conversion Coating, this metal coating provides corrosion resistance and conductive properties. This coat may also be used as a base for painted or color finishes.
If a custom finish is required for an order, or the finish is not listed on our site, please include this information when requesting a quote. We can likely still complete the project.
Material Options
